Susan Hingle, MD, FACP, is an Internal Medicine specialist and a Professor of Medicine, who serves as Associate Dean for Human and Organizational Potential, and Director of Faculty Development at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine. She earned a bachelor’s degree from Miami University and a medical degree from Rush University Medical College. She completed an Internal Medicine residency at Georgetown University Medical Center, where she served as Chief Resident of Internal Medicine. Dr. Hingle completed the Executive Leadership in Academic Medicine (ELAM) Program. She has been active nationally in numerous organizations, including the American College of Physicians (ACP), the Alliance of Academic Internal Medicine, the American Medical Association and the American Medical Women’s Association. She served as Chair of the ACP Board of Regents and Chair of Board of Governors. She is a practicing internist and medical educator. Dr. Hingle has an adult son who is on the autism spectrum. She strongly believes that equity is important for all so that everyone can utilize their full potential to influence society for the better and is eager to share her experiences, expertise, and passion.
